Our Approach

The Managed Web follows the Systems Development Life Cycle to guide development and implementation to ensure you receive a product that meets the requirements of your organization.

By following the Systems Development Life Cycle, The Managed Web ensures that you have an opportunity to provide input into the requirements and the design of your new Website.  In addition, you will be involved throughout the process to review the design and finished product.  This ensures that you receive a high quality product that meets your organizations requirements, is dynamic, easy to navigate, and appeals to your audience.

1. Initiation / Planning / Requirements Gathering - The Managed Web meets with project stakeholders to clarify and get full understanding of your organizations vision, objectives, and requirements for the new Web site.  TMW produces a project charter, develops a project plan that fits within the expected timeframe for delivery, and obtains sign off from your organization before moving on to the design of your new Web site.

2. Design -   Based on recommendations made by The Managed Web and the agreed upon requirements, The Managed Web produces design concepts and presents them to the customer for review.  The customer then selects a design and undergoes set of revisions to the final design.

3. Build - A beta Website is built according to the agreed to design requirements.  During the build process, The Managed Web works with the customer to define the content for the new site, identify content that will be posted by TMW, and content that will be posted by the customer.   When the build is complete, the site is presented as a prototype to the customer for review and minor revisions.  Following revisions, prior to testing and training, the customer will sign off on the build and the content to be posted by TMW.

4. Testing / Training - The Managed Web provides training to the administrative users on the application.  The beta Website is prepared for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).  Following training, the customer assigns a select group of users and administrators to perform the UAT.  TMW corrects any application errors before moving the Website into production.  Once the UAT is completed, the customer signs off on the completion of the Beta Website.

5. Operation - With the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) complete and signed off, the Website is moved from the beta server into production (on live server).  The customer signs off on the successful delivery of the Website before entering into the maintenance phase of the life cycle.

6. Maintenance - Our ongoing maintenance contract includes hosting of the Website and user support on the Web application.
